Interests: She loves cute and pretty things including dolls, pictures, and stuffed toys from all over the quadrant. She is a markswoman and very good at karate. She likes to let off steam by practicing her skills, but prefers sparring partners that can hold their own against her. She also likes to read fantasy novels and romance, comedy, romantic-comedy, or fantasy graphic novels. She loves a good joke, to make an entrance, and to startle people.
Bio: Una Tavonis is a quarter Romulan on her mother's side, but her human father raised her alone on a small colony world. Her mother was raised on Vulcan as a Vulcan by Vulcan monks and eventually entered a convent herself, so Una usually tells people she is Vulcan to avoid awkward questions.
Una has had an interesting career as she switched departments in Starfleet several times. Her former positions are mostly in Security and Intelligence. She has psychiatry training and is actually licensed for it. She uses this training to analyze nearly everyone and was good at all her previous jobs because of this. It was this trait and her tendency toward outrageous behavior that kept her moving around, however.
She is extremely serious about her job, but loves to make an impression. She's a little wild and witty, but has never gone so overboard as to be written up for insubordination. She tends to take her friend and enemies by surprise, though. They always see her small stature and cute or sexy (depending on what she is aiming for and what mood she is in) looks and underestimate her. Given that Una is wonderful at taking advantage of people's perceptions of her, this underestimation tends to work out in Una's favor. When it doesn't, however, things have spectacularly wrong for her in the past, which is how she got her scars during her early years with StarFleet.
She did well in the Academy and when getting her counseling degree and certification. She is able to and has piloted ship as well as shuttles. Una is very loyal to those she believes deserves it and will not rest until a job is done to her satisfaction, which basically means it is very well done.
