Bio: Ken was born in the middle of July in Eau Claire Wisconsin, a medium sized city of about 200,000 people in the northern USA. He was raised by his Mother, Karen, who is now a retired nurse, as his Father, Frank who was a Lt. in Starfleet was killed in action when Ken was only 2 years old.

His younger years were not without a few problems, but most of them were minor. When Ken was 21, he and his older Brother Scott were in an old bar on Earth, near Eau Claire, when a Ferengi started a fight over a business deal that was between Scott and the Ferengi. The Ferengi male was killed by someone in the mess of people that became involved in the fight. Scott was charged with the murder, however, Ken knew Scott had not killed that Ferengi, and Ken was happy when Scott was cleared of the charges against him. It was something they both never forgot. But it is something they do not talk about much. Ken decided to join Starfleet academy at the age of 22 and passed without any real problems. Ken had decided with his Brother, to join Starfleet together. He was a little above average in most of his classes, and did just fine in the rest of them. Before he was even done with the Academy, Ken had made the decision to leave Earth and finally did so about 6 months after graduation. It was at this point that Starfleet decided the he would serve best onboard Deep Space 9 as an Operations Officer. During his stay at Deep Space 9, he was promoted to the rank of Lt.(jg). After about 8 months or so, Ken had just gotten settled in and began to realize that he loved the station and its design. When the news of his transfer came down the line, It was not accepted well. Ken was not happy when he was transferred off of Deep Space 9. He had always loved alien design.

Wozniak was then bounced around Starfleet for a few years, serving a year here, then 18 months there and so on. At one point, Ken was assigned to the U.S.S. Norton as the Chief of Operations. He did enjoy the Ambassador Class ship and its crew, and it was at this time that he made full Lt. Captain Athalon made for an excellent Commanding Officer to serve under and Ken hated to see him retire. It was at this point that Ken decided to request a transfer from that ship to a different position, not because of the new CO of the Norton, but because he was looking for more. Ken was looking forward to a steady post and some place to settle down, so he was extremely happy when he found out that he had just been assigned Command of Deep Space 12. Deep Space 12 was a Sister station to Deep Space 9 and it was the same design he had grown to love so much in the past.

Commander Wozniak began preparing to leave his current position the moment after the news about his new command was delivered. He had to wait for about 2 weeks for his transportation to pick him up and was glad to leave Earth the day the transport ship arrived. It was not that he hated Earth, he just wanted to see a Nor class station again. Ken was dropped off at Deep Space 12 by the U.S.S. Tolkien. Ken's Bother, Scott Wozniak, served on the U.S.S. Tolkien as her Executive Officer. Ken was very proud of that, and he enjoyed the trip out there as he got a few days to spend some time with Scott. It was at this point that Ken was promoted again to Lt. Commander. Upon arrival at Deep Space 12, Wozniak was faced with a station that had almost an entirely new crew on board. He looked forward to the challenge of getting to know them all and getting the teamwork setup that he had seen on almost all of the other posts he had been stationed at. As he started to get settled in he realized just how different Deep Space 9 and Deep Space 12 were even though they were of the same design. One of the first things he felt he had to do was to get his office cleaned. Ken also noticed the three ships assigned to him. There was a Defiant class, an Excelsior class, and a Saber class. The Excelsior class was a little big for the station, however, Ken was always fond of that class of ship. The new Commander of Deep Space 12 soon began to see just how busy his life would become.

Ken found that he felt quite happy in his new position. Life on the station has been interesting at times, however, Ken has never regretted his decision. After being stationed on Deep Space 12 for a year, Ken has become quite used to unusual and interesting things. He has made many new friends in his time on Deep Space 12. In recent months Ken was promoted again, this time, to full Commander. He still remains in command of Deep Space 12. With a recent change of the Command structure in the area, Deep Space 12 now has several more ships stationed out of Deep Space 12, including the I.K.S. Pagh, U.S.S. Ypres, the U.S.S. Borman, as well as a few civilian ships now claim the station as home. Ken now had a busy place on his hands, but welcomed the challenge and the new workload.

After almost 2 years as the Commanding Officer of Deep Space 12, Ken was promoted to Captain with the full support of his entire crew. With the recent signing of the treaty with the Huk'Nar, the area around Deep Space 12 has once again became quite a hub of activity. The now Captain of Deep Space 12 played a major role in the signing of the treaty and now will face an even greater challenge in the days ahead as the Huk'Nar relocate to their new home inside the Dyson's Sphere.
