First and foremost the Captain's word is law, and if you don't like it, then you have no place on this game. I will try and keep fair in my judgments. Just know in advance, there is no 'three strikes your out'. If you break these rules there will be consequences.

Rule 1:

You are not now, and never will be God, do not make your character one.

Rule 2:

Do not extensively control another person's character without their permission. If you must have them with your character on a post, please get their permission or do a joint post.

Rule 3:

Remember the Chain of Command, forgetting it is a quick and easy way to tick people off.

Rule 4:

Though friendly prodding is alright, do not insult other people OOC on the list. If anyone has a problem with any list member, take it to me.

Rule 5:

I am setting this game's rating at PG:13. No excessive profanity and no literary porn. You can get feelings across without resorting to these.

Rule 6:

Post at least once a week. This rule will be least heavily enforced, but I would appreciate an effort to reach it at least.

Rule 7:

I would prefer posts to be in third person paragraph form. This is not required, just a preference.

Rule 8:

More than one character is allowed, with the Captain's permission.

Rule 9:

When creating your character, remember, Deep Space 12 is a Cannon Sim. The race you choose and the background for your character must conform to normal Star Trek guidelines. In other words, the race you use and the background info for you must exist in the established Star Trek world. Double check your race HERE. If you find it listed here, then it is acceptable on Deep Space 12.

Rule 10:

Do not post OOC messages to the mailing list unless they are included at the end of an In Character post. OOC posts will be deleted from the archives and may result in removal from Deep Space 12.
