Bio:
Not much is known about David from before he was found abandoned as a child. He was taken in by the Black family, whom he from then on knew as his own family.
When David was old enough to attend school the teachers noticed that he was smarter that the others and a few tests where taken, the results showed that he had an above average IQ with an abnormal knowledge of mechanical, electronic and physical sciences, for a child of his age. From then on David was treated differently, he fell victim of jealousy from people that where "less smart". This caused him to become a loner, and unable to express his feelings when he wanted to. This in turn caused people to ignore him and push him away.
David went on to study physics with a Major on Transporter Operation. After graduation he entered Starfleet wanting to see more than just the world, also to find challenges for his mind.
After graduating at Starfleet David got his first assignment onboard the U.S.S. Tolkien. When the Tolkien was decommissioned a year later due to extreme structural damage received in a major firefight, David (or Dave as most who knew him well called him) got reassigned to Deep Space 12.
