This is a list, by weekly entry, of the news since I took over Command of Deep Space 12 in February 2001. The early entries may be limited as the news was only scribbled down in the beginning. We did not begin detailed records until the middle of June of 2001.

Thursday, 01/03/2002:

Happy New Year to all!. I want to start off thanking all the crew of Deep Space 12 for making December our third month in a row for breaking posting records. We had 275 posts last month. Let us hope that we go for a fourth month this time. Good luck to her and her crew. The Cardassian Freighter Tradewind has joined Deep Space 12 as well. Welcome her Ferengi Captain, Tarin. I would also like to welcome the U.S.S. Canon and its crew to our station. Welcome Captain V'tok.

Thursday, 01/10/2002:

The U.S.S. Ranger had docked with us for a few days, however, they have now departed on their first mission. We wish them luck on their travels. The mission is finally over. We will now take a few days break between missions. The I.K.S. Pagh has returned to the station as well. All were involved in the last mission.

Thursday, 01/17/2002:

Jake Calten will be the Acting Marine CO. We have more than 190 posts so far this month, hopefully we continue on this path and break the record again. Keep posting people. The I.K.S. Pagh has departed the station, as well as the Tradewinds.

We welcome several new crew to Deep Space 12, including, the Chief Strategic Operations Officer Lt. Saryn Sevara, the Assistant Chief Strategic Operations Officer Lt. (jg) Valerie Shaldon. We also welcome Marine Fighter Pilot 2nd Lt. Joseph Fox.
Thank you all of the Deep Space 12 crew once again for the amazing amount of posts once again this month. 338 total posts last moth. The record was 275. That is outstanding. 4 months in a row we have broken the all time posting record for Deep Space 12's entire history. Please folks, let us do it again and make it 5 months.

Again, we welcome more new crew to Deep Space 12. Welcome to our new Cryptologic Technician, Petty Officer 3 Amy Rabb. She will serve in the Intel Dept. Our new Assistant Chief Engineering Officer, Lt. Scott Harper. Posting has gotten off to a good start this month.

Thursday, 02/14/02:

Posting is going very well again this month. Please keep up the posting. The Brymer problem is coming along nice. Although it is amusing, it is a nice twist to deal with something insignificant for a change. After more than a year of service on Deep Space 12, Lt. Spoon has moved on to a new position. He has transferred off of Deep Space 12.

The NPC character of Fred Figg has been taken over by a new crewman and a Bio has been created for him as well. We welcome him to our ever expanding team. Posting is still going well.

Posting is going at an incredible level this week. First contact with the Huk'Nar has been made during a routine power test.

Thursday, 04/04/02:

405 posts for March, making it the 6th month in a row that we have broken the all time posting record, and this is the first time ever that we have made 400 posts in one month. This is thanks to all the crew who have helped make Deep Space 12 what it is. A new Pawn Shop has opened on Deep Space 12, and a Wadi Trade delegation has arrived on Deep Space 12 for talks. Some of the Huk'Nar ships have decided to take up orbit near Deep Space 12.

Thursday, 04/11/02:

Ryoko has given birth to a set of Twins just as a group of Admirals arrive on Deep Space 12 to assist with First Contact talks. Thanks to Lt. N'tran, Lik has been rescued from a questioning session gone bad. The Huron is well underway on it's mission of reconnaissance in the nearby area.

Thursday, 04/18/02:

A small bomb explodes outside of the Huk'Nar High Priestess's quarters. Luckily, she was in the Holosuite at the time and avoided injury. The Runabout Huron is under attack the Klingons after digging a little to deep into some Klingon activities.

Thursday, 04/25/02:

Lt. Mark Vincent Diesel has arrived on Deep Space 12. Please welcome him with open arms. A new Executive Officer has been assigned to Deep Space 12, promoted from the Chief Engineering position.

Thursday, 05/02/02:

The crew of the Huron has been rescued by the Phantom, with the assistance of the Ypres B and the Electra. Late in the final stages of the battle, the Huk'Nar ship, Stuv'lek arrives to assist them. As they are beamed aboard the Phantom, the Huron is set to self destruct to prevent it from falling into unwanted hands. The small fleet heads back toward Deep Space 12. I am going on LOA for several weeks to take some personal time. I expect to be back in 1 month or so.

Thursday, 05/09/02:

The Phantom and company has returned to Deep Space 12. Congrats to N'tran on his first outing as a "Rock" star. His Sesame Street post was excellent. Post # 3266. Ensign Eidock has been transferred to another location. We wish him well. A Romulan fleet has appeared between the station and the Klingon ships that followed the Phantom back. Fighting soon breaks out.

Thursday, 05/16/02:

Quanos has been promoted to the rank of Petty Officer 1st class, he remains in his current position. Lt. (jg) N'tran has been reassigned from the position of Geologist to the Chief Science Officer. Congratulations to both of them. Welcome to Ensign Tega M. Waynar, our new Operations Officer. Captain Sparken was found sleeping in the Ready Room of the Electra. The Klingons have retreated with what they have left after the fierce battle has come to an end.

Thursday, 05/23/02:

Aleph Datoid has been promoted from Cadet to Ensign. The U.S.S. Hubble prepares for a voyage to Deep Space 9 as the U.S.S. Cutlass prepares for a voyage to the Dyson Sphere.
Captain Sparken went on trial, as a result of his going to sleep in a battle situation. He was found guilty of a self inflicted wound, referred to counseling, taken off active duty until the counseling was complete, and reduced in rank to 1st Lieutenant.

Thursday, 05/30/02:

The Hubble and Cutlass both launch on there respective journeys. The Hubble has a warp field imbalance, and leaves normal subspace. The Cutlass has a problem with Ablative armor. News of Limok's death has reached Deep Space 12.

Thursday, 06/06/02:

The Hubble emerges briefly into normal space. The Cutlass continues on it's voyage toward the Sphere joining up with the Huk'Nar "Convoy." Welcome to our newest Shop Employee, Maggie Fox.

Welcome to Lt. Varlem, our new chief of Operations. Sev has been moved to the Chief Security/Tactical Officer position, Cmdr. Ken Wozniak has been promoted to Captain after almost 2 years as CO of Deep Space 12.

Thursday, 06/20/02:

The Cutlass and the Huk'Nar convoy are involved in fleet operations, including some battle simulations. Welcome to Ensign Joe Deacairan our new Assistant Strategic Operations Officer. Preparations are being made onboard the Cutlass for a "Toga" party to celebrate the halfway point in their trip the Sphere.

The Toga party went well, especially with the serving of live Nachos at the party to a huge rainbow colored Tribble.

Happy 4th of July and Happy Birthday to the USA. No news this week. Remember New York.

Thursday, 07/12/02:

The Cutlass has arrived and entered into the Dyson's Sphere to begin the second phase of exploration of the Sphere. The U.S.S. Horatio docked at Deep Space 12 at Pylon 2. After docking, the Horatio explodes, destroying a portion of Pylon 2 and breaking off the remaining piece.

Thursday, 07/18/02:

The Hubble has returned to Deep Space 12. Exploration continues on the interior of the Sphere. Lt. Volok has been transferred to Operations from Intel.

Thursday, 07/25/02:

Captain Wozniak returns to the Cutlass. The investigation into the cause of the Horatio's explosion continues. Negotiations between the Huk'Nar, the Federation and the Cardassians also begin as exploration of the Sphere continues. The Cutlass's ablative armor is repaired.

Thursday, 08/01/02:

We Welcome Nick "Havoc" Parker as marine second in command of the Marines on Deep Space 12.

Thursday, 8/08/02:

On the Sphere:
Negotiations between the Federation, the Huk'Nar,and the Cardassian Union are completed. A large solar flare erupts, starting a huge forest fire in Cardassia's new territory.
On Deep Space 12:
Investigations into the Horatio's explosion, and Mike Wagner's activities continue. It is discovered that the Horatio's explosion dented the hull of the Ops module, and the Promenade. These areas were evacuated until repairs were complete.

Thursday, 08/15/02:

Ensign Jack Stargraber has been promoted to Lieutenant (jg) and assigned as Assistant Chief of Security.
Joe Deacairan [5 of 9] has been promoted from Ensign to Lieutenant (jg).
Lt. Volok has been reassigned to Chief Operations Advisor.
Lt. Vin Diesel has been promoted Lieutenant Commander and assigned as Deep Space 12's second officer.
Ensign Tega Waynar has been promoted to Lieutenant (jg).

The Cardassians have taken possession of their piece of the Dyson's Sphere while Lt. Volok slips into a trance, while standing in Ops.

Thursday, 08/22/02:

Lt.(jg) N'tran has been promoted to Lieutenant.

Quartermaster Mike Wagner is arrested on smuggling charges, after a lengthy investigation. In Ops, Joseph Fox starts a fistfight with Joe "5 of 9" Deacairan. The reason for the fight is 5 of 9's treatment of Maggie Fox, Joseph's cousin. The fight results in both officers joining Mike Wagner in the brig. After 5 of 9 is released from the brig, he happens to see his Maggie Fox and Jake Calten hugging 5 of 9 threatens suicide in Engineering, a suicide that would destroy the station. Maggie Fox is able to prevent this action, saving the station.

Thursday, 08/29/02:

The Cutlass plays a major role in fighting the forest fire, then leaves the Sphere, headed back home for Deep Space 12. Lieutenant Shale collapses in engineering, on the Cutlass as they prepare to leave. Back on the station, the Cardassians provide assistance in rebuilding pylon 2, for a price.

Thursday, 09/05/02:

Lieutenant Shale undergoes medical treatment. Her condition is still critical, but stable, the cause remains unknown.

Thursday, 09/12/02:

The Cutlass comes to the aid of an damaged Intrepid Class starship, then heads off to complete the final leg of the trip home to Deep Space Twelve.

Thursday, 09/19/02:

Maggie Fox is severely injured by her former friend, Joe "5 of 9" Deacairan. As Lt. Deacairan flees Security who is aided by the Marines,Major Jake Calten, pursues Lt. Deacairan outside the station, in EV suits. Medical diagnoses civilian Maggie Fox as having a spinal injury. She is paralyzed.

Thursday, 09/26/02:

Welcome Ensign Kira Smithers, Chief counselor and Ensign Summer Dallas, Assistant Medical Officer. Also welcome Quezak, Bartender and Bar owner.

Medical discovers a possible cure for Maggie Fox's paralysis. There are hints of Section 31 activity on board. A Cardassian gift is arriving that involves Ore processing. Lieutenant Joe Deacairan chooses to suicide, rather than be captured by station security.

Thursday, 10/03/02:

Welcome Ensign David Black, Transporter officer. Funeral services for Joe "Five of Nine" Deacairan this week. An operation to allow Maggie to walk again is successful. A new mission also starts this week.

Thursday, 10/10/02:

The Staff meeting begins. Karla Kea Shale is promoted to full Lieutenant, and assigned as Chief Engineering Officer. Ensign Jack Anderson, Strategic Operations Officer, arrives.

Thursday, 10/17/02:

Lieutenant N'tran has been assigned to the position of Second Officer, and Commanding Officer of the U.S.S. Phantom. This position includes a promotion to Lt. Commander. An incoming vessel, the Golden Greed violates General Order 12, and the Phantom is dispatched to intercept.

Thursday, 10/24/02:

A distress call comes in from the Tradewinds. The Phantom renders assistance.

Thursday, 10/31/02:

The Tradewinds, and the Silver Nova have been repaired enough to be able to move under their own power. Four Nausicaans from the Golden Greed beam onto the station carrying concealed illegal weapons.

Thursday, 11/07/02:

There is a bar fight in Orion's Belt ending with the arrest of over a dozen Nausicaans. Representatives from Grand Nagus Rom have just arrived on Deep Space Twelve.

Thursday, 11/14/02:

Injuries from the bar fight are tended to. The Nausicaan prisoners provide much information about the Ferengi plot, including a backup plan to forcibly remove the Grand Nagus, if the election fails.

Thursday, 11/21/02:

Some of the injured from the U.S.S. Silver Nova were treated. The Ferengi ship, the Golden Greed was boarded, in search of illegal weapons. The Golden Greed raises shields, trapping the boarding party. Deep Space Twelve, the U.S.S. Hubble, the U.S.S. Ypres-B, the U.S.S. Cutlass and the U.S.S. Phantom react to the trapping of the boarding party by locking weapons on the Golden Greed. The boarding party takes over the engine room, and the Golden Greed surrenders. Maggie Fox and Ensign Kira Smithers were kidnapped by Nausicaans. Major Jake Calten, and Captain Nick Parker come to the rescue.

Thursday, 11/28/02:

Happy Thanksgiving.
Welcome Trelien, Romulan Ambassador. The infirmary is busy with injured from the bar fight, and the Silver Nova, kidnap victims, as well as visitors and an ill Chief of Operations Varlem. The Nausicaans on the station have been rounded up. Ensign Kira Smithers, the station's counselor, suffers a flashback from her kidnapping, grabs a disrupter from the Romulan Ambassador, and threatens to kill him, unless he leaves. She is disarmed by the Ambassador, and Security, and taken into custody. She later escapes, and nearly goes out an airlock into empty space, before being beamed to the infirmary, where she receives help, correcting an imbalance in her brain chemistry. The Romulan Ambassador stops by for a "chat" with Kira, while she is in the infirmary.

Thursday, 12/05/2002:

Welcome Doctor Brenan Gard, Chief Medical officer. Welcome Back Lieutenant Commander Vin Diesel, Commanding Officer, U.S.S. Frank Borman, Oberth class. The hull of Pylon 2 Is repaired, and life support is restored. The rest of the repairs progress more quickly, now. This event is celebrated with a "Rock" song by N'tran, "We Built this Pylon."

Thursday, 12/12/2002:

Welcome Lieutenant junior grade T'Coran, Chief Science Officer. A sensor reading indicates a possible Breen Ship, runabout sized, in the outer asteroid belt of the Terminus system. A thorough search, involving the ships: Ypres-B, and Frank Borman, runabouts: Darkwing, Knights, and Beeblebrox, and four Razor class fighters, reveals nothing. The conclusion was that a collision between two asteroids caused the sensor reading that led to the search.

Thursday, 12/19/2002:

A Borg Sphere emerges from a transwarp conduit, 1.16 light years from Deep Space Twelve. The Ypres-B, the Phantom, the Hubble, the Electra, the Cutlass, and the Frank Borman intercept the Borg Sphere. On Deep Space Twelve, Lieutenant Thrig Kolmik is left as acting Commanding officer, with the station's counselor, Ensign Kira Smithers, as the acting executive officer. An investigation by Doctor Gard shows the Nausicaans had a viral poison on their knife blades. An employee of Orion's Belt, who was wounded in the bar fight dies, and three others are hospitalized, including Maggie Fox, and Lieutenant Karla Shale. Doctor Gard, and Science Officer T'Coran perform an autopsy on the deceased employee of Orion's Belt.

Thursday, 12/26/2002:

The surviving drone of the Borg Sphere, Four of Ten, and Captain Wozniak reach an agreement to allow boarding parties to repair the Sphere, so the drone can return to the Collective. Parties beam over to the Sphere to gather information and start repairs. Four of Ten seems to wish to be removed from the Collective. The first attempt to do so is nearly fatal to the drone. On Deep Space Twelve, Doctor Gard manages to find a cure for the Nausicaan viral poison involving incorporating human DNA into Huk'Nar white blood cells.
